End of January and beginning of February - unsteady weather conditions
When I went to the place on the fjord that I often like to visit, the storm got especially strong on my way back.
I'm curious how it will go on. At the moment, I am not sure which season it feels like: autumn, winter or spring?
The 4th of February it was extremely stormy.
February started with more sunshine but unfortunately still nearly no further snow.
That is something, which is also very typical for Norway, as I believe: the lichens on the branches of trees.
After the skiing, I walked a bit around and saw some traces from the storms and winds of the last time.
On sunday, a Dutch and me left to explore the tracks around Dragvoll campus.
I am amazed when I see the Norwegians on a fly-past...
The 29th and the 30th of January, we had goodluck that the snow had returned. So we could use the weekend for skiing. On saturday, a Danish, who had been living in Australia for 12 years and me, we went to Bymarka. This is a great area west of Trondheim where the conditions are perfect for skiing and hiking. The batteries from my camera were low. But maybe I can add some pictures that my companion made.
We took samples on three different rivers, one wastewater treatment plant (before and after treatment) and a paper factory.
When we went for sampling prior to the Environmental Chemistry laboratory analyses, the weather conditions were still relatively warm so that the nice snow continued transforming into ice...
When the streets and paths look like this, then spikes are a blessing - no matter if you have them on your bike or underneath your shoes.
