And that was our weekend. ;-)
In winter, many people put a bunch of crops in front of their door to feed the birds.
Thick layers of snow all around...
Before we went back to Trondheim, we made a stop in Røros, a small and old copper mining town.
The area around is quite open so that tracks are quickly snowed in when the wind is strong. Fortunately, the weather was quite calm on sunday.
On our way back on sunday we met nearly nobody.
However, suddenly this dog slegde came across. Nice to watch. :-)
After having it digged out. ;-)
Another special feature was the toilet. Do you see it?
Everybody of us joined the sitting in the sauna-jumping and rolling in the snow mix. My first real sauna experience - great!
Some meters away from the cabin, we had a cosy sauna that we could use.
On saturday night it became very cold and stormy so that we thankfully utilized this nice offer.
And that is the cabin after we had cleaned it before leaving it on sunday.
That's the cabin's door. I liked the wood carving.
The next day we went around with the skis.
On friday night we went by car to the area close to the cabin. It was very cold that day with about -20°C as the thermometer from the car told us.
After having parked the car on a parking place we, i.e. 9 people from France, Norway, Germany, Latvia, the Netherlands and Denmark/ Great Britain went by ski to the cabin. Even if it was very close, it took us several hours to reach it. We had a GPS with the cabin's coordinates stored in it. But it does not tell how the way looks like...
And to pass snowy bushlands or forests at night is not that ideal...
But finally we reached it. And the fact that we had managed this together had us unified to a good team. :-)
After having molten a lot of snow on the stove and cooked for a long while, we could eat dinner at about 3 a.m.
