24.10. - cave/ tunnel from World War II

On the way back.

The entrance is not that shallow as it looks like on the first picture. People can enter without problems and by walking upright.
In the Second World War, the cave was used to store arms and munition.

That's the cave, or better to be called a tunnel, from one of its two sides.

And this is us - no, just two of us. In total, we were four. Two Czech, a Latvian girl - friends of mine - and me.

Enjoying the calm atmosphere...
I like the different shades of blue of the sky, the clouds that always change their shape and the snow-covered mountains in the distance...

I liked this scenery with the playing children close to the fjord.
The clouds give an image of the quickly changing weather conditions here. There is sunshine, rain, wind/ storm, sometimes hail or snow. And not seldom, this changes within a couple of minutes. It's exciting! I like it. :-)

We saw some houses on our way to the cave that one certain person of you would surely have liked. ;-)

October - autumn-winter mix

One evening, I wanted to go out one more time. So I went to the lake in the forest not so far away from home. There was still some more snow. It was worth it. :-)

That in on the campus in one of the university buildings. A great mystery! And I finally found out what it is and how it works.
This is a piece of art made by two artists, who combined sound and light.
In irregular intervals, you can hear some soft sounds in the building that seem to come from far away. And there are these squares that often change their color...
Somehow this is connected. And it works with the help of motion detection.
Strange but fascinating...

One day later, the snow already started to melt due to the sunshine. But this happened not in combination with such a terrible grey and wet weather as I know it from many years. Instead of this, it was still a bit chilly. This prevented slush from being formed. :-)

Also behind the house.

Behind the house I am living in.

This is in Moholt student village - where I live.

It was the 21st of october when it started to snow for the first time this "winter". But still most of the trees carry their colorful leaves which gives a great combination! :-)
And it is not cold outside.

Last (?) sunny autumn impressions and cabin trip

A last, very natural ( :-D ) smile and that's it for the weekend.

The next day, we went back to Trondheim.

After having warmed up in the sauna, we sang a lot of great songs in the evening.

Moving to keep warm. Our luck was that we were close to the island in the middle of the lake and the others with the more stable boat were not far away.

I never used such an instable canoe...

Only two boats on it. One of them was ours. We enjoyed it. ... and then, it happened what had to happen...

A very clear and calm lake.

Here, we had reached the other side.

My two Czech friends and me decided to go by canoe to the other side of the big lake before the weather gets bad. This was quite nice; we took some pictures and looked around on the island on the other side.

That's how it looks like when you enter the sauna. It was newly built since the previous one burned down.

The cabin is maybe one of the biggest (two floors with sleeping possibilities (beds and matresses) and a big kitchen with a community room) ones from NTNUI. I didn't take a picture of it since I was too much amazed by the other houses around. A wood house, a big sauna (in this picture here) and a toilet house which shows that the Norwegians who built it had quite a lot of fun! ;-)

From the 9th to the 10th of October, we did one more cabin trip. This time without ferry; to Heinfjordstua (http://org.ntnu.no/koiene/hjemmeside/koiene/heinfjordstua.php). Most of the people decided to walk and go by bus. So, a Frenchman and me together, we went there by bike. This was maybe the nicest ride to a cabin since we passed a wonderful and extremely big lake, nice forests and only about 10 cars passed by (during the 2 or 3 hours - I don't remember correctly the time).

Do you remember the "giga"phone? ... now children have it explored for themselves. :-)

Impression from a bridge in the city to the city.

The fortress from a distance. From there you have a great view over the area!

"Harry Potter Building" - but now in another light.

Very much close to the campus.
